Crochet a hummingbird garden for your window
Picture a quiet evening with the hook in your hands and a little bird taking shape, stitch by stitch.
No hunting for patterns. No matching yarn colors at three different shops.
Bloomweave joins crocheted birds, flowers and leaves with wooden beads into one flowing cascade.
You hang it by a sunny window and it moves a little with the air. Soft, green, and made by you.
Polyester silk thread holds its shape, so the petals stay open instead of drooping.
A calm craft project you can enjoy finishing
✓ Finish something that actually looks finished
Birds, flowers and leaves come together on one strand, so the piece reads as a whole, not a loose scrap.
✓ Turn quiet evenings into something you keep
Work a motif at a time while the TV hums. Put it down, pick it up, nothing is lost.
✓ One kit, nothing to go hunt down
The thread and beads are chosen to work together, so you skip the color matching and start stitching.
✓ Polyester silk thread that keeps its shape
Petals and wings stay open after months of hanging, instead of wilting flat.

Do I need to know how to crochet already?
Basic stitches are enough. If you can work a chain and a single crochet, you can make the motifs. Take them one at a time.
How long does the whole piece take?
Most crafters work one motif per sitting over a few evenings. There is no rush — it stays exactly where you left it.
Can I make it shorter or longer?
Yes. Add or leave out motifs and beads to match your window. Nothing is fixed.
Will it fade in a sunny window?
Polyester silk holds color better than cotton thread. It is made to hang in daylight.
- Step 1: Crochet the individual motifs — the bird, the flowers, the leaves — one at a time.
- Step 2: Thread the wooden beads onto your hanging strand to set the spacing between motifs.
- Step 3: Attach each motif to the strand in the order you like, working from the bottom up.
- Step 4: Hang it from a hook or rod near a window and adjust the spacing by eye.
- Size: Adjustable — build the cascade to the length your window needs
- Material: Polyester silk thread, wooden beads
- Lasts: Holds its shape and color through years of hanging
- Crochet thread, wooden beads, and the motif components for the hanging cascade.
- Spot clean only with a damp cloth. Do not machine wash. Lay flat to dry away from direct heat.
