Do I need a fog machine for the swamp effect?
Yes. The beam needs something to catch. A fog machine is not included, but any basic low-fog or standard fog machine works. Without fog you'll still get patterns on surfaces, just not the glowing mist look.
Will it work if my street has lamps or porch lights?
It works best in real darkness. Turn off nearby porch lights and aim it away from streetlights. The darker your yard, the stronger the effect looks.
Can I leave it plugged in outside all night?
Yes. It's made for outdoor use through the season. Just run the cord along a fence or edging so nobody trips on it.
Does it work on walls and trees, or only through fog?
